1973 Jaguar XJ6 Manual

his is an opportunity not to be missed, a truly beautiful example of a rare Jaguar XJ6 manual with overdrive. English assembled and sold new in New Zealand on the 10th of July 1973 in Palmerston North. This car has never been restored and has a beautifully mellow, original patina that these days is very hard to find. The condition of this car is a testament to the care of ownership that it has received by its previous five careful owners.
The mechanicals of the vehicle have been extensively reconditioned over the years, making this car an absolute pleasure to drive. The original engine has been rebuilt with new pistons, flange liners, crank grind and cylinder head overhaul etc. Front suspension is now an XJ-S sway bar with Koni adjustable shocks. Reconditioned XJ-S steering rack with poly bush mountings. The rear end of the vehicle runs a slightly higher geared 3.31 limited slip diff, also with adjustable Koni shocks. Electronic ignition and a manual cable choke ensures the car starts and runs superbly.
Accompanied by original ownership papers, handbook, sales brochures, workshop manual etc this is as good as it gets. BAINS CLASSIC MOTOR HOUSE is a low volume boutique classic car broker. Viewing of vehicles is by appointment only in our North Canterbury located Motor House.
