1987 Rover Vitesse
This is a fantastic example of the rare Rover Vitesse Twin Plenum model. The company built 500 Twin Plenum cars for group A homologation. The Twin Plenum units are most desired today by collectors. The T/P has improved Lucas electronic injection with two plenum chambers in the same intake air stabilization housing. The two throttle butterflies allow the passage of greater air volume, which can be mixed with more fuel to generate more horsepower, resulting in 225 hp from the Rover engine block and aluminum heads. This example also has a quick ratio steering rack, up-rated springs, shock absorbers and front four-pot brake calipers.
There are 42 known Vitesse cars in New Zealand with only 5 of them bring Twin Plenum models. This particular car was purchased new by an Air New Zealand pilot in England and was not driven on any English roads before being exported to New Zealand new. Because of this the car is very clean and straight and has led a very pampered life.
This is an amazing opportunity to purchase a very special and rare vehicle. Not only are these tipped to do great things like the M3 and Cosworth but this is a vehicle with huge design appeal and road presence. Guaranteed to put a smile on your face with every journey you take.
