Jeremy Clarkson, during a Top Gear test-drive, likened the interior of the original XK8 to “sitting inside Blenheim Palace”
The Jaguar XK8 is a grand tourer launched by Jaguar Cars in 1996, and was the first generation of a new XK series. The XK8 was available in two-door coupé or two-door convertible body styles with the new 4.0-litre Jaguar AJ-V8 engine. The first-generation of the XK series shares its XJS-derived platform with the Aston Martin DB7 and were finished to a very high standard.
The classic interior trim was very luxurious and featured heavy use of leather and stunning wood veneer. Jeremy Clarkson, during a Top Gear test-drive, likened the interior of the original XK8 to “sitting inside Blenheim Palace”.
This beautiful example has been the recipient of a major refurbishment by “Bristols” of Wellington with invoices totaling in excess of $61,000 NZD !!!! This was completed in 2015 and the car has been used sparingly since. Finished in champagne with biscuit leather interior this vehicle really is as good as it gets.
Please contact us for further information on the work completed on this vehicle as it is too extensive to list along with some eye-watering invoices.
