2010 Morgan Plus Six Roadster

Morgan Motor Company Limited is a British motor car manufacturer with a very interesting and rich history. It was founded in 1910 by Henry Frederick Stanley Morgan. Morgan is based in Malvern Link, an area of Malvern and employs approximately 220 people. Morgan produce around 850 cars per year, all assembled by hand. The waiting list for a car is approximately six months, but it has sometimes been as long as ten years. Morgan cars are unusual in that wood has been used in their construction for a century, and is still used in the 21st century for framing the body shell .The Morgan V6 Roadster was introduced in 2004 replacing the iconic Morgan Plus 8. The car is identical to its predecessor in many ways except for new modern Ford V6 mechanicals. The new engine develops similar power, though less torque, and is slightly lighter than the Rover V8 which results in increased performance and better fuel economy. My Father’s company Fazazz was the New Zealand Morgan agent for a number of decades and during that time I visited the factory a number of times and saw firsthand these amazing vehicles being built. This stunning example is testament to the high build quality that Morgan produce today. This beautiful car has had one New Zealand owner, however it is now time for another enthusiast to take the wheel.
